Well these arrived at there destination today.

How cute are they. Knitted in Moda Vera's - Luxor (100% cotton) And this pattern.
I changed a few things - they were knitted on 4.5mm needles and they came out beautifully. I will definitly be knitting more of these little beauties!

Elizabeth in her little Jumper

Just thought that I would pop a picture of Elizabeth in the little jumper that I knitted her - it looks even better on. And I am so glad that it fits and that she is getting lots of use out of it. She needed it in this lovely weather that we are having at the moment!
Work in Progress Wednesday No?

Ok - I have lost track of how many Wednesdays I have done this for. I know that I have been a little slack of late - sorry! It is a little sad in this house at the moment - as I am a lady without a sewing machine or an overlocker! Very sad indeed. They are both in getting serviced - but the saddest part is we may not be able to get the parts to fix it. Apparently Janome have a 10year hold on there parts and then after that time you are not able to get them. And our machine is 11 years - you would not believe it! I know that I should be happy as it means that I might be getting a new machine - but I was really liking my old one - we are great friends and will be sad to let it go.

Anyway - This is going to be the project that I am working on in the next two or so weeks.

Amelia recieved a Topsey Turvey Cideralla Doll from her Great Granny for Christmas.

Well our niece turns one in a few weeks and have been trying to work out what I could make her. I ended up purchasing a pattern off of Ebay and now just have to get knitting. (think that I will do Mother Hubbard and Little Miss Muffet)

I am also working on a knitted jumper for ME - more about that later.

Knitting in a Strawberry Field

This is one super cute little beanie on its way to Alison her her little one. (the pattern calls them a tomato - but I like the though of knitted strawberries)

The pattern is from here - try it out!
And it was knitted in 100% cotton from Spotlight on 4.5mm double pointed needles. Modifation - knit until they measure about 15cm and then add in the green - otherwise you will find it too small and might look like a pimple on a pumpkin IYKWIM!

And I just could not help myself. I also knitted a little pair booties, they are the cutest things some spare wool as I did not have enough for two beanies. Hope you like them Alison. Will post a picture of them when they have arrived - cause they are a surprise!

Look what I found in the Letter Box

Look at this little pack that arrived today from the lovely Glenda - I was so thrilled as I knew that she was sending me one but instead I found four little books in the post. Including the most georgous little smocking outfits (I have already chosen which ones I am going to do for Amelia when the weather gets warmer!) And I will have to practice my smocking skills, I have not smocked since the small sample piece that I did at high school - might be something that I can do while I am without my sewing machines

And I purchased some material off of Helen! She was culling and not that I really needed any more fabric - but how could I resist this Strawberry Shortcake material. It takes me back to my childhood and my Miss Shortcake - I still have her - actually she is sitting here for Amelia.

Saturday 9th of June is the official Knit in Public day!

So get out your needles and get out there! Tim wants to head to the hills and see the snow - so I think that I might have to take my needles and find a little cute coffee shop somewhere and sit and knit as I sip on a latte - who wants to join me!

Let me know what you have planned.

IS IT REALLY WEDNESDAY AGAIN

Ok WIP Wednesday.

Well for all of my followers - you will possibly have worked out taht I can't just work on ONE thing at a time.

Sometimes I wish I could - I know that it would take alot of stress out of Tim's life with not having craft all over the house (apparently I have it in every room of the house!)

So this is what I am going to do - I am having a break from blogging for a week - this should give me time to get some of the things that I want to get done completed. To make a start I am making myself a few lists - So here goes - Hopefully I will be able to get some of them crossed off of the list soon (and some WIP's completed)

Get wool so I can finish Amelia's Jumper

Pull out jumper for me that has been shoved somewhere since June 2004!

Make something for MIL for her birthday

Make Amelia some new pj's - she has sprouted legs in the last few weeks

Make something for friends new baby - come on kid - you are cooked - show us your face!

Embroider cherrys on jumper for Amelia

Clean house

Spend time with Dh and DD on the long weekend!

Sort out wool piles and sort into projects

Get mothers day gifts finished and sent off - I know I am a BAD daughter - but it is the thought that counts (right?)

Ok - I think that is enough for one week - wish me luck - have a great week and I will be back with lots of pictures and to update you all soon - I promise

World Environment Day

Today the 5th of June is World Environment Day. Saving water - it has become my past time for the past 6 months - I save all of our washing water and we bath in a bucket (it is a very big one) and then I bucket this all out on the lawn and the plants around the house. A little different to this time last year when we were in Darwin and I could turn the tap on at what ever time I liked.

And a little trivia for you all today - did you know that at 12.34pm the time, date, month and year lined up to read 1234567, that will not happen for another 100 years so I will not see it again!

Knitted Beanies

Just thought that I would show you what I am working on at the moment! These are for an order - Alison I hope that this is what you were after.

I have managed to cable - why have I boycotted it for so long - it is lovely and not that hard at all - I am in love with these. The one almost completed will be have tassles on it! To cute for words and I can not wait to see pics of her 10month old in them!

The wool is Cleckheaton, Angora Supreme. It is a blend of 70% Lambs Wool and 30% Angora. I think that I could wear a jumper in it!
Buttons, Buttons, Buttons

I am pleased to report that Amelia's little pinni is complete - Yes I have finally managed to put buttons holes on it. Now buttons holes are not that hard - well usually - but would you believe that it took four machines before I could do it. Mine is playing up, two friends did not want to play the game and then Jodi came to the rescue - and I was able to do it in a flash (Thankyou, thankyou, thankyou!)
And a few of Amelia wearing her new dress!
