Ten years ago I walked down an isle 20 minutes late hand in hand with my Dad.
My Dad lifted my veil, gave me a kiss and placed my hand in the hand of my best friend.
As he did, he gave us both a little squeeze. A squeeze of love and faith for the future as he handed over the care of me to another.
Fast forward ten years. We have had eight address in 5 different States and Territories. Survived a lightning strike (not me) and brought two beautiful children into the world.
Our love continues to grow and develop every day. Looking forward to seeing where the next ten years takes us and the adventures we will have.
We celebrated our special day with a formal function. It wasn't personal or intimate, but it was a reason to get dressed up and put on a pretty dress.

Watch out for Emu's
Around these parts we don't often have to keep an eye out for cars. It is the wildlife that you have to keep an eye on.
With the warm weather we have many feathered friends going for a daily walk with their young and showing them around.
When I saw this fabric at Spotlight I just knew that I had to have it and turn it into something for Amelia for Christmas in this special and unique location that we call 'home' at the moment.
The skirt pattern is Tilda Sash Skirt by Anna of Tilly Tom. It is a very easy patten and has just enough twirl to keep the fussiest of girls happy.

Little Sugar Houses
With sticky hands and sticky fingers, a lick here and a lick there (you can do that when you will be the only person that will be eating your little house)
We stuck together tiny little houses other wise known as 'Sugar Houses'
All were very pleased with their efforts and we ended the day on a sugar high.
Little Sugar Houses
1 x packet of Vovo's, Waffers and Hundreds and Thousands
1 x batch of Royal Icing (the glue for your little house)
A selection of lollies to decorate.
Build as you would would a house. From the ground up with four walls and a roof (slice a waffer in half to form a triangle to give your roof a frame)
Decorate and enjoy.
Disclaimer: It was so very hot on the day that we made these that the icing just would not play the game and set for us. They had a trip into the freezer to set before decorating.
Have you made a gingerbread house before?
Did it stay up?
Any tips of tricks?

I'm looking forward to seeing them on these two special little girls.
For all the pattern details pop over to Ravelry here and here.
I love knitting little knits and next year I am hoping to offer a few for sale of a variety of patterns that I have gained the cottage licence's for, so stay tuned in the new year for more information and if you would like to be the first to know pop over and like my facebook page.

Fun in the night
Four crazy girls meet in the bush as the sun went down and had fun taking a few night time shots.
We used a variety of light sources. From mobile phone torch app to Christmas Carol fake candle and Glow Sticks. We were having so much fun that it was midnight before we packed up the tripods and cameras and headed home.

"A portrait of my children, once a week, every
week."
Amelia: Reading her book infront of assembly. Watching her grow and develop this year has been amazing. She has come such a long way this year.
Baden: Performing in his end of year Kinder concert
Inspired by Che and Fidel with a portrait a week. I'm looking forward to next year.
