Work in Progress Wednsday

Work in Progress Wednesday

Well this is my firs WIP day for 2008! Where is the year going???

I have been knitting up the dyed wool and I am in love - will be interesting to see how it washes (am a little scared about that!)
I have also been in the kitchen today... Something that I have missed. Yumm, Zucchini Slice (recipe from Exclusively Food)

Also playing catchup. Sorry Belinda (from Green Polka Dots) for taking so long to post a picture of the lovely swap parcel that you sent our way. I love the material and have added it to my stash - Think the frogs will be turned into a feature on a pair of pants and a top for Mr B, just have to get time to sit at the machine again (something that I am longing to do)
There was also a lovely bag which I am currently using as my fruit and vege bag - photo and link to pattern here. Thanks again Belinda (oh and the chocolate is finished! And my excuse is breastfeeding a growing boy)

I have also missed a few This Is's...

So this is my demon, Bloglines. It does save me alot of time - but I still seem to check and look at new blogs and links that are listed - continually adding to my 'wish' list...
OUR LITTLE EASTER BUNNIES...

We all hope that you had a lovely Easter! We spent the weekend at home with our little family and spent lots of time in the garden. Tim also built the foundations for our very own vegetable patch! We are getting the soil next weekend and then can plant some vegetables for winter - looking forward to that! Amelia and I also planted some flowers in the old wheelbarrow - so waiting to see if they grow...

Here is a few photos of our bunnies

Happy Easter...

Just hopping in to wish everyone a very Happy Easter.

I did not go over board with Easter this year as it is Tim's birthday and I wanted to make it a special day for him and not get lost in all of the Easter hype. Amelia gets the idea of chocolate in the shops and to keep her from throwing a tantrum while shopping I would tell her that only the Easter Bunny could buy the chocolate (you would not believe how hard that was not to pop one in the trolley for myself - I have a real soft spot for the caramel filled eggs!) She did however get a little chocolate and a DVD of the Fox and the Hound.

This is what we have been up to in the lead up to Easter this year...

Easter Masks (made at the local library)
Cupcakes with a chocolaty surprise (which we took to playgroup to share with friends)

Knitted Rabbit Finger Puppets
I participated in an Easter Swap over at Crafty Mamas. Thankyou to Lisa for our lovely gifts

What NOT TO DO...

... when dying wool!

I decided to try my hand at dying some wool... Take my advise - when it says 'wear gloves' it might be an idea to actually put them on. Lucky for me it was only food dye and not an acid dye.

I used this great tutorial. And this is how it turned out. I have 50grams of 4ply and it will become the contrast stripe in a jumper for the little man!

One Month Ago!

Wow - was it really that long since I updated this little blog - sorry about that.

Things have been good! In between sleepless nights and two year old antics I am sure that we will sail right out the other end.

But, at the moment our days look like this
Baden is spending alot of time in the hug-a-bub at the moment! Due to reflux (lucky me - I have managed to have two out of two children with it) I thought that Amelia had a bad case of it , but it is nothing now in comparison to Baden's - as he brings it up and doesn't spit it out - therefore causing double the pain.

Here are a few pictures for you all

I managed to finish this as a shop sample for Simply Stitches

Baden was Baptized

I have also managed to do a little knitting - I will be back with pictures really soon as I have finished feeding Baden and we both have to get back to bed -
