It's Tuesday and I Can't wait...

until next week.


Next week, we recieve in writting where we are being posted to next year. It means that I can start the planning stage of moving. The filling in of paperwork, organising removals and looking at areas to live. We will pack up just before Christmas and depending on where we move to DH will go up unpack and come back and get us (this I am VERY excited about - out of the last 6 moves I have done 5 by myself)

My Creative Space...

Is a cut out factory today.

I have cut out four sets of undies, with the fashion guru's help with choosing which colour she would like on the front and the back of each as she drew pictures to pop into the mail to family members with the family photo that we took back in May.

I don't see any cake mum. I don't know what you are talking about!

How about I help you clean up the crumbs.

Lucky this boy is cute. While the cake was cooling on the bench, Baden took to it with a spoon and started to eat the middle out of it. He gave it the seal of approval.

I altered the recipe a little from last week. I used two eggs instead of the cornflour paste and added vanilla essence instead of the almond essence.

Pay it Forward

I was one of three lucky bloggers that would recieve something special from Karen as part of her Pay it Forward. Karen was worried that she was late - although I am sure that she was well in the 12 month time frame that is allowed.


We recieved two of her 'Super-Duper' caped T's. Both of the kids love them and I am sure that they will recieve a lot of wear. Baden has already had an incident in his (not that the cap had anything to do with it, but all I could think of was Mr Incredible telling Increda Boy that caps are a bad thing and result in problems)


All is well now and they are in use. Here are a few pictures for you

I also recieved a spotty crochet hook roll wich will come into good use at knitting and knotting nights. (I am yet to get a photo of it - but pop over to Karen's blog to see it)

Amelia Longstocking

I have had this skirt sitting cut out for a few weeks and since I had pink on the over locker I thought that I would get it finished so Amelia could wear it.

She choose the pattern and the fabric - Pink polar fleece with a rainbow strip pocket liner.

She loves it and calls it her 'warm skirt'.

Tour de France Knit Along!

I usually miss the start of the Tour de France. Well not the start - it is on every night in our house, But I usually always come across the blog after the start date.



This year with the help of Ravelry I have managed to start and be part of a team. Last night was the time trail through Montpellier, this was the first time trail since 2005 and to celebrate the Knitters descided to have there own little time trail. I timed myself for 1 hour and managed to knit 2210 stitches, of which I was rather happy.



One down side to living in Australia is SBS have the tour televised at 11pm. This is usually the time that I am heading to bed - not pulling out the knitting for a few hours of clickity, click. Anyway - we do get it LOVE which some would think is a bonus. Although it is creating some very tired people in the country at the moment.



I signed up for the green jersy = those knitting multiple small projects during the three weeks of the race. For the product knitters, the dishcloth knitters, the blanket square folk, etc.



It is my aim to get the neck scarfs knitted and have one finished.

I am in love with it and will be making another for myself at some stage. If you could not tell with all of the photos that I took, oh and sorry Dad, yes I did get my hair chopped off!

Tonight will see the men ride from Le Cap d’Agde to Perpignan, a 200km and includes four hill climbs. With a projected time of between 4 and 5 hours for completion I can to see myself staying up to see the end, maybe I will tape it and watch it tomorrow.

It's Tuesday and I Can't wait...

...to get these in the mail.

Finally finished the little gift for my new niece (you would think that this Aunt would be organised consdering that I knew that it was going to be a girl)

In other news, I have been staying up far too late every night since Saturday to watch the Tour de France. More on that later - it deserves a post of it's own.

Making a list and checking it twice!

Well we are half way through the year and I had visions of being on my way to having some Christmas presents started. Humm that is not the case.

Saying that - I really think that I should make a list of things that I would like to achieve. Instead of making a huge list like I have in the past and not achieved anything I am going to attempt to just put the things that I want to do this month.

Lets see how I go.

Ok - I think that is enough for the time being - lets see how I go. Off to boil an egg for the kids for morning tea and make a cake with some sad looking bananas.

And because I can't post with out a photo. We had a roast the other night and I roasted some beetroots - Masterchef style. Baden grabed another off of the bench and this is what I found!

He looks rather pleased with himself doesn't he.
