Thanks Grandma!

I love it when the postman comes and brings us more than just bills! And yesterday two great big boxes arrived for us from Grandma and Grandpa in Mackay full of Christmas presents and a whole heap of bits and pieces that I have left at home for the past ten years (Mum and Dad are in the process of de-culling - so in two years they can travel Australia in there caravan and spend our inheritance LOL)

Anyway - One of the presents in there was this gorgeous 'Eye Spy' quilt. It is actually part of Amelia's birthday present so she was allowed to have it now! Needless to say that Amelia has carried it everywhere today - slept under it, played on it and kept me amused with all of the things that one can find.

They are not the best photos, bit they will have to do for the time being. It is raining and overcast today and Amelia is in long sleeved shirts and long pants and it only managed to reach 15 degrees today (and here I was whining about it being 39 degrees only three days ago!)

  1. That quilt sure does look snuggly, I'm sure its going to get a lot of use, just the way quilts from Grandmas should.

  2. Thanks for your comment Kylie!!!! We'll definately have to catch up next time I'm down that way visiting my Mum. Isn't that button fabric just gorgeous? What are you going to make with yours?
It sure is wonderful when the postman delivers pressies instead of bills. I'm waiting on a big fabric bundle from Reprodepot at the moment. I think the postie might think that I'm stalking him a bit as I'm so eager to receive it I wait by my box everyday with anticipation. The quilt from granny looks just great!!
