Merry Christmas
From our family to yours we wish you a very Merry Christmas.
We have moved across the states of Austrlia and are on our way to unpacking the house. We are enjoying a few days with family and have eaten way too much like most families arond the worldbat this time of the year.
I am posting this from my new iPad. If you have any tips and tricks please share them with me. I really have no idea what I am doing. I am also without wifi access until we get back home and am unable to install slot of the apps that I would like to. But will make a list for when I get home. Blogging then might be easier and posts may have photos attached.
Until then I will dream of being organised in the new year. Please bare with me. I have lots to share when we get home in a few days.

Going Spotty
Today we headed into GoMA to see the wonder that is Yayoi Kusama. If you are in Brisbane or are planning a trip make sure you leave time to pop in. (it is open and free to the public until 11 March 2012) I would recommend that you head in early. The whole exhibit can be seen in an hour. It is also not an exhibit that I would take my very active 3 year old too. It is a pretty to look at but don't touch exhibit with only one room that is interactive.
I was told that I was not to take any photos of the exhibit (I did not delete the ones that I had taken so here is a little sneaky shot (shot from the hip and taking pot luck of what I got)
The obliteration room, is a hand on interactive room. We were handed a sheet of stickers on entry and told to go for our lives. A completely white room the size of a house has already been covered with brightly coloured adhesive dots. Children can also access the online version with Kusama's World of Dots
The final room of the exhibit is set up to help GoMA celebrate turning 5, the Children's Art Centre invited Perth-based artist duo Pip & Pop (Tanya Schultz and Nicole Andrijevic)
This exhibit draws on children's fairy tales from all over the world. It is created using sugar, Styrofoam, beads, lights and glitter. It is another look but don't touch exhibit, with lots for the little girls to find (including Sullivan Family creatures and deers.
For more information pop onto the website www.qag.qld.gov.au/kusama
I would love to go back towards the end of the exhibit, as they are hoping the the dotty spotty white room will be covered in so many dots that the white will not be seen at all (if you go let me know, would love to see your photos.)

{pinterest make me challenge} Coin Purse
The first of the handmade Christmas gifts are completed.
I came across a challenge last week on Blossom Heart's Blog and thought why not. I have 1000's of things pinned on Pinterest and I it have become my biggest time waster since it's invention. I lay in bed and pin from my iphone when I should be falling asleep (and I wonder why my husband won't buy me an ipad for Christmas)
The pattern for these is from Gabby's blog. My version has a little mistake in them (I am only fairly new to this crocheting thing) I think that they look great though and are just big enough to hold in your hand or pocket and keep your money safe in your bag for tuckshop.
These girls have been fantastic for my little miss and I really like the idea of the buddy systems in schools. Fingers crossed that Amelia meets some lovely girls next year that she can look up to.

On the mend...
... finally. I think that I have managed to take getting sick to a whole new level. What was a viral thing turned into a full blown sinus and ear infection and lets throw in tonsillitis while we are at it. I have been on antibiotics for a few days now and feel so much better.
I also have a giveaway to draw. Sorry about that.
My little helper agreed to letting me put the names in his Bob the Builder hat.
The winner is Leonie. Congratulations to you and looking forward to seeing what you turn it into.
Thanks to all of the other entry's. I will have to have another knitted item give away in the new year before the chill of winter hits.

{Things I'm Loving} Imagination
Loving the imagination of this little man this week.
We have spent the week at home, enjoying each others company (cough cough). It was lovely to just spend some one-on-one time together (on the couch) and spend time getting well.
This little man doesn't really require any toys. He makes his own fun.
May I introduce you to

{My Creative Speace} :: Crochet and Rest
The boy in the house has decided to share his germs. If I appear to be dying that that is because I am. I am not a very good sick person or patient. Would rather be doing the caring for (but then that gets a little old too)
A home day on the couch was called for. Icy Poles and ice cold lemonade to sooth the throat, ABC kids and crochet in our pj's. Just what the Dr ordered.

Not alot to say here. These giant creatures of the sea were amazing and I am so glad that we have managed to see them whilst on the east coast of Austalia.
