This is the finished gift. Elbert has grown on me and I am liking him more and more - Thanks to all for the lovely comments.
The gift includes:

A onesie with hand embroidered elephant
Crocheted Flannelette Blanket
( I really like the print on this)
and a knitted beanie with little bear ears.
