Life on the farm
My Husband grew up on a farm (of which his parents still run - but now live in town) .jpg)

I loved visiting them when they lived on the land. I learnt how to ride a motor bike, drive on a dirt road and do a burn out. All good things..jpg)

But with the drought of previous years it has been upsetting to visit. But did any of you get the rain that fell from the havens last weekend. Some of it fell near the farm and the River is up. And the salt levels are down enough for DH and FIL to pump some out for the house dams. There was dancing all around let me assure you.
And a progress shot of our camper trailer (it is sitting upside down).jpg)

Joining in the fun...
of

Lucky for me I found this today. I usually catch on a few days too late for monthly memes and although I probably don't need an extra thing on the list this month it might be a little bit of fun.
So there will be a give away and hopefully there will be lots of craft happening.
I thought that I would start today off with a little meme. There is stuff happening (or rather NOT happening) with our move at the moment and am just a tad overwhelmed with it all.
Making : A baby Sophisticate for my nephews upcoming first birthday
Cooking : Umm - the last time I cooked was over a week ago - spagbol (we are on holidays and don't like to stand on MIL's toes in her tiny kitchen)
Drinking : Coke
Reading: My Interweave Mag and working out what I would like to knit for myself next
Wanting: Someone to turn back the clock too two days ago when I had a house to move into (a very long and upsetting story)
Looking: at lots of new blogs
Playing: Tea Parties with Miss A and Teddy Bear Teddy Bear with Mr B
Wasting: too much time browsing Ravelry
Sewing: only things knitting of late - sewing machine is currently 700km's away
Wishing: for someone to phone me and tell me that the last two days have been a dream (no scrap that - nightmare)
Enjoying: Spending lots of time with our two little ones
Waiting: for the kettle to boil
Liking: that DH has been working on our camper trailer and it no longer a dream
Loving: my husband and children
Hoping: a house with trailer access and like the one that until two days ago I was going to live in will become available
Marvelling: at the river on the farm - it has water in it and flowing after the rain last weekend and the salt levels are low enough to water the vegetable patch with
Needing: more hours in the day
Smelling: Amelia's clean, washed hair
Wearing: my pj's
Following: the instructions for the knit project
Noticing: that it is getting cold out here tonight
Knowing: that we have a long drive ahead of us in a few days
Thinking: .... hummm
Feeling: a tad stressed and angry
Bookmarking: vegetables to grow in our new vege patch
Opening: Well watching as Amelia opens hers this week
Giggling: at the kids playing
Feeling: overwhelmed

Sent and Recieved...
I have some knitting that has finally been sent and recieved.
I knitted another little Milo for a friends little man and it sat for about two months before I got around to sending it off - opps - lucky for me I knitted the 3 month version. See it on him over at Becky's blog too.
I also knitted and sent of some Bike Beanies for Mum and Dad to wear under there helmets. Not sure exactly how much wear they will get in Mackay - but I think that Dad has plans of a bike holiday at some stage (although it may be on his Harley and not the push bike)
And a pair of Fetchings for Mum - these were meant to be taken on their holiday to New Zealand but she left them at home (hope you had cold hands Mum:)

It's Tuesday and I can't wait...
Well I can wait. If someone invents a time stabliser I would love to know - the years are flying far too quickly at the moment. We celebrated a certain little girls birthday. Yes, Amelia turned 4.

We celebrated with a baby chino at the local coffee shop, and two birthday cakes..jpg)

This was her first Birthday with her cousins and I think that she had a great time:)

Wordless Weekend #4
.jpg)
I know that this is meant to be a wordless post - but I am getting alot of questions as to where I got it from so I thought that I would pop it in here for all. This little needle book belongs to my MIL. I loaned it for the photos. She recieved it when she was a girl and it came complete with needles. The book opens to show a little pop up section of girls doing handy work. It is just so cute and was made in Japan.
I would love to update my blogger header at some stage and use one of these pictures as the header - I have no idea where to start so if anyone is handy with blogger and can give me some tips I would love them. Thanks in advance.

It's Tuesday and I Can't wait...
.. to knit for 7 hours tomorrow on the way to Victoria. I love going away and sitting for a period of time and getting some serious hours of knitting done!
I will be starting another Bloom. This time in a purple for Amelia.
I was thrilled to be asked to test knit this for Georgie - and everyone has commented and ohhed and gared over it. It is going to be very popular, I had 20 favourites and 130 views in the first 24hours of it being in my Ravelry projects:)
Amelia - she has a chest of 53cm/21inches (a small size four).jpg)
Jessica - chest of 50cm/19.5inches.jpg)
Freya - chest of 46cm/18inches.jpg)
Kennedie - 2 week old Newborn, 8lb

Keep an eye out - the pattern is set for release in about a week.
This is the 4ply version and knits up to fit a newborn and grows with them.
