Sent and Recieved...

I have some knitting that has finally been sent and recieved.

I knitted another little Milo for a friends little man and it sat for about two months before I got around to sending it off - opps - lucky for me I knitted the 3 month version. See it on him over at Becky's blog too.

I also knitted and sent of some Bike Beanies for Mum and Dad to wear under there helmets. Not sure exactly how much wear they will get in Mackay - but I think that Dad has plans of a bike holiday at some stage (although it may be on his Harley and not the push bike)

And a pair of Fetchings for Mum - these were meant to be taken on their holiday to New Zealand but she left them at home (hope you had cold hands Mum:)

It's Tuesday and I can't wait...

Well I can wait. If someone invents a time stabliser I would love to know - the years are flying far too quickly at the moment. We celebrated a certain little girls birthday. Yes, Amelia turned 4.

We celebrated with a baby chino at the local coffee shop, and two birthday cakes.

This was her first Birthday with her cousins and I think that she had a great time:)

Wordless Weekend #4

I know that this is meant to be a wordless post - but I am getting alot of questions as to where I got it from so I thought that I would pop it in here for all.
This little needle book belongs to my MIL. I loaned it for the photos. She recieved it when she was a girl and it came complete with needles. The book opens to show a little pop up section of girls doing handy work. It is just so cute and was made in Japan.
I would love to update my blogger header at some stage and use one of these pictures as the header - I have no idea where to start so if anyone is handy with blogger and can give me some tips I would love them. Thanks in advance.

It's Tuesday and I Can't wait...

.. to knit for 7 hours tomorrow on the way to Victoria. I love going away and sitting for a period of time and getting some serious hours of knitting done!

I will be starting another Bloom. This time in a purple for Amelia.

I was thrilled to be asked to test knit this for Georgie - and everyone has commented and ohhed and gared over it. It is going to be very popular, I had 20 favourites and 130 views in the first 24hours of it being in my Ravelry projects:)

Keep an eye out - the pattern is set for release in about a week.

This is the 4ply version and knits up to fit a newborn and grows with them.

Amelia - she has a chest of 53cm/21inches (a small size four)

Jessica - chest of 50cm/19.5inches
Freya - chest of 46cm/18inches
Kennedie - 2 week old Newborn, 8lb

Vegemite Scrolls...

This morning I took a breather. A breather from the stress of moving and took some timeout of what I really should be doing and spent an hour on the couch with the kids and watched ABC Kids and Playschool.

We love Playschool here as most households in Australia do with little ones. Although for the last few weeks I have been using Playschool as my babysitter as I run around getting dressed, brushing teeth, checking emails, calling removalists and putting the house back together after breakfast incase someone wants to have a look through the house. (Yes ontop of the fun of moving, the rental that we currently live in is for sale (will still be a rental for DHA - but the private owners are selling it) Like I needed that stress on top of everything else.

So this morning I took time to breath and enjoy the fun that Jay and Karen were having. They made Vegemite Scrolls today and we descided to make our own. So off we went to the computer and Amelia and I found a recipe and then went to the kitchen to make them.

Yumm - they are the best and I will never be buying the scrolls from the bakery again. These are light and fluffy and oh so nice. We only made half of the recipe (because I only had 1 and a 1/2 cups of SRFlour left) but it was enough for us all to have a taste and fill up on. We will be making these again.

We used the recipe from here. If you try them make sure you let us know.

Now I best be off and sort out some more of this removal. After sitting on the computer night and day for five days writting up our inventory - I have just found out that it is lost in cyber space somewhere and we are not on the Toll system - let's just say that I am about to scream!

It's Wednesday...

And Tuesday slipped by without a second glance. Where are the days going, let alone this year???

Anyway - I am looking forward to getting this finished so I can photograph it on a little newborn. It is a Bloom test knit for Tikki and it is so very cute. Amelia will also be getting one, in a purple I think.

Taking time to smell the flowers...

Life seems to be on full spin at the moment.

Wow, what a week. We have descided that the kids and I will pack up and move ahead of Tim. This enables us to move into a house and not be homeless for weeks on end after the Christmas rush. Only down side to all of this is we will be Daddyless for two months (although I am sure that this little wife will handle it, it is the kids that I am worried about. Sure I will miss him, but imagine the crafting I will get done as I will not have to clean up before dinner every night :)
Anyway - the kids and I headed to the park on the first day of Spring to enjoy a little sunshine. It also gave me a chance to get some photos of some knits that I have not photographed yet.
A shrug for Amelia - I knitted this last year, but she would not wear it for me, constantly complained that it was "too scratchy Mum!" I have washed it a few times through out the year and fingers crossed that she will wear it with a little dress when the weather warms up a little bit more.
And a vest for Baden. I love him in a vneck and this is a great little knit.
Does anyone notice these pants. They were one of Tikki's originals and have been past from family to family of little cloth wearing boys. From Ali to Bec and now us. Thanks girls and they are still going strong Georgie. And because it is Spring and one can not take enough photos of flowers in bloom - Enjoy...

We are hoping to get over to Canberra during Floriade - so more flower photos to come.
