Just hopping in to wish everyone a very Happy Easter.
I did not go over board with Easter this year as it is Tim's birthday and I wanted to make it a special day for him and not get lost in all of the Easter hype. Amelia gets the idea of chocolate in the shops and to keep her from throwing a tantrum while shopping I would tell her that only the Easter Bunny could buy the chocolate (you would not believe how hard that was not to pop one in the trolley for myself - I have a real soft spot for the caramel filled eggs!) She did however get a little chocolate and a DVD of the Fox and the Hound.
This is what we have been up to in the lead up to Easter this year...
Easter Masks (made at the local library)

Cupcakes with a chocolaty surprise (which we took to playgroup to share with friends)

Knitted Rabbit Finger Puppets

I participated in an Easter Swap over at Crafty Mamas. Thankyou to Lisa for our lovely gifts
Such a great idea because of Hubby's birthday but I soooo know what you mean about the eggs in your trolley. We have had those small solid eggs for weeks now.
ReplyDeleteMy kids opted for presents not eggs. Better idea for me too.
Hope you all had a lovely day.
Happy Easter to all of you! Lucy x

Glad to hear that you had a fab Easter. My husband's b'day is on Boxing day so I hear where you are coming from. I have always given my kids a book and an Easter egg for Easter, and even though they are now 11 and 13 years they are still keen to see what book the "Easter Bunny" has selected for them!
