A Knitted Unicorn

 

 

 

Just before Christmas I received a message from a friend to see if I could knit a little something for her daughter.  As soon as I saw the pattern I just knew that I had to knit it as it would suit her personality and character so well. 
If you follow me on Instagram (I'm mealyandi over there too) you would have seen the sneak peaks.
It was a fun knit and something that I would not have normally done.  I can not wait to see Jodi's professional photos of Miss D in her Unicorn Beanie.
Do you craft out of your comfort zone?  Try it, you might be surprised.
I think that I may be knitting this again for a certain little girl that lives here.  She has plans in the making for next years Halloween costume I think.

A portrait of my little family to start the year off. 
It is not very often that we get a photo of all of us together and with no family around to take happy snaps of us I am often the one behind the lense.  We have not had a family photo taken for some time, so this week I took the camera, tripod and remote and got a few snaps.

Summer Fun with Friends

Five Friends, a new trampoline and a sprinkler was all that was required yesterday to cool down these hot little bodies.

If it is hot where you are please keep cool and stay safe from the terrible bushfires.  If you are cold, then put another layer on and enjoy a hot chocolate for me by the fire.

Hoping that you all had a great Christmas and an even better New Year.  We spent the good part of a week with Tim's family.  Our first Christmas together since 2003 and we have all grown our families since then and 4 children + wives and 8 grandchildren makes for alot of fun times (and lots of eating).  I have taken 1000's of photos and I will blog a few of the things that we did over the next few days. But for now I am off to set up the sprinkler in the back yard and try and cool down a little with my little ones.
